A few weeks ago I celebrated my birthday at one of the most prestigious wine farms in the country. Hazendal Wine Estate hosted me and two of my girls to stay over at their homestate. It was really and unforgettable experience.
The wine farm is situated In Stellenbosch, which is 35 mins drive outside Cape Town. So if you don’t enjoy long drives, this is the perfect place to visit as it is not far.
Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the most friendliest staff, Willem and our butler Blessing. We were given champagne while we were being checked in. We had the entire homestead to ourselves and Oh my God it was as if it came out of a fairytale book. Each room was equipped with bathtubs.
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the bridal room, it literally looked like a room you would see in a palace, so its no joke when I tell you we had photoshoots and played dress up in it haha.
Our 3 course dinner was so intimate and delicious, I still dream about the food even now, haha, and don’t get me started on the feast we had in the garden for breakfast, everything was so fresh and prepared with so much love and attention, we truly felt like royalty.
Things I love about Hazendal wine estate:
- They cater for everyone, kids and adults.
- They have plenty of activities including, picnics, wine tasting, Russian tea ceremony, restaurant experience, golf experience, magical wonderdal for the kids, they even host beautiful weddings and functions as well.
- They also have a collection of beautiful vintage cars if you are someone that has a taste for that.
- The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
