This past weekend Ford treated me and my friend to a wonderful weekend away in Arniston. This town is a small seaside settlement on the coast of the Overberg, close to Cape Agulhas which is the sourthenmost tip of Africa. It is a 2hr30mins drive from Cape town, yes it is far, but let me tell you, I ddnt feel the distance at all.
The Ford Ecosport was such a joy to drive, very smooth on the road and extremely comfortable, it is a small car but spacious inside. It has state of the art interior and leather finishing. We had a full tank when we left, and we got back with fuel still left!! I know we all want to save fuel right?
The car comes with 2 usb ports so that you and the passenger can charge your phones, you can also navigate your phone calls on the steering wheel which is great because it prevents you from driving and using your phone at the same time.
The boot space is also very spacious we had quite a lot of luggage, however if we needed to fit in more we would’ve had space to do so. I also like how unisex the car is.
We stayed at a beautiful 4 stars hotel called the Arniston Hotel Spa, it is situated right by the beach and luckily, we got a sea view room which was so stunning.
WHAT WE GOT UP TO..
We explored a cute little town called Kassiesbaai. It is a historic fisherman’s village with the cutest white little houses, this village is more than 160 years old!!
We also took a 30 minutes drive to a beautiful wine farm called Black Oystercatcher, its funny because we thought they had oysters, only to find out it was named after a bird called Oystercatcher hahaha. The wine farm offers some of the best pizzas iv tasted, very thin and crispy base, they also have very tasty sparkling wine.
I would like to thank Ford for sponsoring me with this all expenses paid trip, I would also like to thank Arniston Spa Hotel for a wonderful stay.
